Plans to clear driving test backlog get green light

Plans to clear the driving test backlog were given the green light tonight as unions voted in favour of allowing the privatisation of tens of thousands of tests.

After months of negotiations, driving testers agreed to Labour Relations Commission proposals over plans to outsource up to 45,000 completed tests to a private company.
