One rural post office closed every fortnight, say Labour
Rural post offices are closing at a rate of once every fortnight so far this year, according to Labour.
The party says the closures follow 18 shutdowns last year and 14 downgradings.
This year, counties Cork, Tipperary, Roscommon, Offaly, Westmeath and Wicklow have been affected.
Communications spokesperson Tommy Broughan says the Government needs to address the matter urgently.
