A man arrested in connection with a shooting in Kilbarrack on Friday night has been released without charge.

The victim, 23-year-old Keith Fitzsimons, was shot as he stood with two other men outside a house on the Millbrook road in Kilbarrack.

Gardaí are to send a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Meanwhile, two men remain in custody following an attempted bank raid in Dublin on Saturday.

Staff at a bank in Crumlin were threatened by thieves as they loaded cash into an ATM.

Gardaí later recovered two loaded firearms and €700,000 in cash from the scene.
