Two arrested over robbery in Belfast
Police in the North have arrested two men in connection with a £120,000 (€175,000) robbery at a Boots shop in Belfast city centre last year.
The money was stolen from the outlet on Donegall Place last May after the families of two staff members were taken hostage in their homes.
The employees were ordered to go to work and get the cash from the shop before handing it over to the thieves at Wellington Place.
Their families were later released unharmed.
The two men arrested today are the first to be detained over the robbery, which the PSNI says was probably the work of a criminal gang rather than a paramilitary group.
