Manhunt underway in court following armed robbery
A manhunt is underway in County Cork for a gunman who hi-jacked a car and then held-up staff at a credit union.
The man hijacked the car at around 10.30 this morning and then drove to Glanmire where he held up the credit union at gunpoint
It is believed he jumped over the counter and made off with thousands of euro. Nobody was injured but staff were said to be shocked by the incident.
The culprit then returned the car to Ballinroe where he left the car.
Gardaí have swamped the area between that village and village in the hunt for the gunman who they say is a dangerous individual
He is described as being in his mid-twenties, five foot-seven in height and of stocky build.
