Police in the North are investigating the discovery of a body in the River Lagan in south Belfast this morning.

Police in the North are investigating the discovery of a body in the River Lagan in south Belfast this morning.

The remains were spotted in the water at Stranmills by rowers who alerted the PSNI.

The area has been cordoned off, but it is unclear whether the person's death is being treated as suspicious.
