Galway houses 'more expensive than Dublin'

Goodbody Stockbrokers have claimed that buying a house in Galway is actually more expensive than buying one in Dublin when income levels are taken into account.

House prices in Dublin are currently around 50% higher than those in the rest of the country.

However, Goodbodys claimed today that lower average wages in the west of Ireland meant home-buyers in the region were finding it harder to get on the property ladder than their counterparts in the capital.
