Fears for safety of missing teenagers

Fears are growing for the safety of two teenage friends who disappeared from their homes in the Newry area almost a month ago, police said tonight.

Fears are growing for the safety of two teenage friends who disappeared from their homes in the Newry area almost a month ago, police said tonight.

Charlene Lennon, aged 13, and 15-year-old Kathryn Edgar have been missing since April 12 and detectives said they are increasingly concerned about their whereabouts.

It is believed they may have travelled to Dundalk.

Charlene is described as being slim, of a pale complexion, around 5’2” with blue eyes and long black hair.

Kathryn is around 5’4”, medium build wearing blue jeans, a blue and white top, a football scarf and a baseball cap. She has a tattoo on her lower back.

Anyone who may know of their whereabouts is asked to contact Police in Newry Station.
