Businessman held in relation to Limerick bouncer murder
Gardaí have arrested a 48-year-old businessman in connection with the murder of a nightclub bouncer in Limerick three and a half years ago.
The man was arrested in Co Clare last night as part of the on-going investigation into the murder of Brian Fitzgerald outside his home in Corbally in November 2002.
The 34-year-old is believed to have been killed after refusing to allow drugs to be sold at the nightclub where he was head of security.
Last November, James Martin Cahill, from Birmingham, was jailed for the murder. He said at the time that a gang had paid him €10,000 to carry out the killing.
