A large collection of Irish art works is due to go on show in Dublin today ahead of its sale at auction in London next month.

€15m collection of Irish art to go on show in Dublin today

A large collection of Irish art works is due to go on show in Dublin today ahead of its sale at auction in London next month.

The items in the free exhibition at the Merrion Hotel include an oil painting of Samuel Beckett by Louis le Brocquy which has been valued at up to €120,000.

Paintings by Gerard Dillon, William Orpen and Jack Butler Yeats are also included in the €15m collection.

The art works are going under the hammer next month as part of the Christie's 10th anniversary sale of Irish art.
