Three charged over vodka lorry hijack

Three men arrested in connection with the hijacking of a lorry carrying €300,000 worth of vodka were today remanded in custody with consent to bail.

The men were charged at Longford District Court with handling stolen property comprising 22 pallets of spirits at Delvin, Co Westmeath under Section 17 of the Criminal Justice Theft & Fraud Act.
