Conradh na Gaeilge has demanded extra resources for the garda training college in Templemore.

It has called on the Minister for Justice to allocate funds so that they can employ four extra Irish teachers.

President of the organisation Daithi MacCarthaigh claimed the recruits were not being taught the Irish language properly because of a lack of resources.

He said he is outraged that the all-party committee set up my Michael McDowell has not met authorities in Templemore to address the issue.
