Man arrested after fatal road accident in Galway

Gardaí in Co Galway have arrested a man in his 20s following the deaths of a mother and daughter in a road accident this morning.

The two women were killed when their car was struck by a trailer that detached from a truck in Cloonacauneen, on the main Galway-to-Tuam road, just after 6am.
