A man and a woman died in a late night car crash in Co Westmeath, taking the weekend’s road death toll to four, gardai said today.

A man and a woman died in a late night car crash in Co Westmeath, taking the weekend’s road death toll to four, gardaí said today.

It is understood the car crashed through a wall at the Department of Education building on the Ballymahon Road, Athlone, in the early hours of this morning.
