A 27-year-old Irishman has drowned while on holiday with his girlfriend in Australia.

A 27-year-old Irishman has drowned while on holiday with his girlfriend in Australia.

The man, who died yesterday while swimming near Queensland, has been named locally as Liam Connolly, from Cahir.
