British expert may testify on behalf of Judge Curtin
A journalist and computer expert whose work helped to get several men cleared of child pornography charges in Britain has agreed to testify before the Oireachtas committee investigating Judge Brian Curtin.
The men were cleared after Duncan Campbell showed that there was no way to prove their credit cards had been used to purchase child pornography online.
Mr Campbell confirmed today that he had been approached by Judge Curtin's legal team and had agreed to testify if needed.
However, he said no formal request had been made as yet.
Judge Curtin is being investigated by the committee following his acquittal on child pornography charges. A garda blunder meant there was a flaw with the warrant used to search his home.
