Teenager seriously injured in Antrim farm accident
A 16-year-old boy is in a serious condition after sustaining injuries to his upper body in an accident on a farm in Co Antrim yesterday.
The teenager was airlifted to Antrim Area Hospital in a police helicopter following the incident in a field at Liberty Road in Carrickfergus.
He was later transferred to the Royal Victoria in Belfast, where his condition is said to be serious.
Details of the accident are unclear, but it is believed to have involved farm machinery.
