Post mortem to be carried out on body found in Co Leitrim

A post-mortem is due to be carried out today on human remains found in County Leitrim yesterday afternoon.

A group of youths discovered the badly decomposed body in a park in Carrick-on-Shannon at around 3pm yesterday.

Locals believe it was that of a man who has been missing in the area since last August.

Gardaí have said that an investigation is underway, but they are not treating the death as suspicious.
