LRC talks avert threat of regional newspaper strike

The threat of strike action at Ireland's provincial newspapers has lifted following talks at the Labour Relations Commission yesterday.

The National Union of Journalists had served strike notice on the owners of 27 local newspapers who wanted to pull out of an existing pension scheme.
