Transport Minister Martin Cullen said this afternoon he did not want to see any strike at Aer Lingus.

Unions are set to vote for industrial action in their opposition to Government plans to privatise the airline.

But Minister Cullen said investment from the private sector was important if the airline is to expand in such a competitive sector.

He said he had further meetings scheduled with workers.
