Gardaí name Coolock shooting victim

Gardaí have named the 22 year-old woman who was shot dead in the Dublin suburb of Coolock in the early hours of this morning.

Donna Cleary from Castlekevin Road, Kilmore in Coolock died after a number of shots were fired into a house at Adare Green in Coolock at about 4.30am.

It is believed Ms Cleary was attending a 40th birthday party in the house.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination. Gardaí in Coolock have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 01 666 42 00.
