€5.7m in property seized in garda anti-gangland operation

€5.7m worth of property has been recovered since the start of Operation Anvil, according to garda figures released today.

The scheme was set up by the Minister for Justice last May to tackle gangland crime in Dublin.

Over 1600 arrests were carried out during the last ten months, and more than 350 guns seized.
