Man held in relation to drugs seizure
A young man was arrested today after gardaí seized drugs, ammunition and a stolen motorcycle in north Dublin.
Officers from the Coolock Drugs Unit discovered cocaine and cannabis resin, which may be worth over €50,000, in a house search in the Darndale area.
They also seized shotgun cartridges and recovered a stolen motorcycle.
The drugs were packaged and ready for immediate sale.
A garda spokesman said a male juvenile was arrested and is being held at Coolock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
“The seizure of cocaine depending on the result of forensic analysis may have a potential street value of €50,000 while the cannabis resin may have a potential street value of €1,000,” he added.
