The Taoiseach has said the Irish and British governments are not prepared to wait around indefinitely for the North's political parties to reach a deal among themselves on restoring the power-sharing institutions.

The two governments are expected to publish their own proposals on the way forward in the North as a result of the DUP's refusal to negotiate a power-sharing deal with Sinn Féin.
