Study shows some Irish emigrants still fall on hard times
A new study shows young vulnerable Irish people are still emigrating to the UK and falling on hard times.
It is estimated that more than 4,000 Irish people emigrated to Britain last year.
A minority find themselves homeless, sometimes turning to prostitution and drug-taking.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dermot Ahern, is welcoming the publication from Emigrant Advice.
Spokesperson Joe O'Brien appealed to homeless groups across the country to provide advice to those who need it.
