Sentence delayed on sex attacks hypnotist

The sentencing of a former hypnotist who indecently assaulted 10 women was delayed for a second time today.

A judge due to hear the case was unable to attend because of illness.

Richard Tilley, 65, from Derry, has admitted a total of 21 charges between March 2002 and October 2004.

Tilley, who worked under a professional name of Richard Glenn, specialised in helping clients to stop smoking.

He also performed hypnotherapy at his home in Brentwood Park in the Foyle Springs area of the city, where he offered laser and acupuncture treatment.

Tilley was first due to be sentenced last Friday, but the hearing was put back until today because the presiding judge was ill.

The sentencing has now been provisionally re-scheduled for tomorrow.
