Mayor seeks inquiry into fatal Co Donegal car crash

The Mayor of Buncrana is calling for an inquiry into the car crash that killed five eastern Europeans over the weekend.

The five died in a collision between two vehicles at Beach Halt in Lisfannon in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Councillor Padraig McLochlainn is now seeking an inquiry following confirmation that gardaí had been following one of the cars involved.

"The Gardaí, like everybody else, are going to have to make it clear the full circumstances that led up to this tragedy," he said.
