Man dies after accident in Cork city centre

A 70-year-old man has died from injuries he sustained after being struck by a car in Cork city centre two days ago.

The man was walking over Parnell Bridge just after 9am on Wednesday when he was hit by a passing car.

He was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he died from his injuries last night.
