Rising Sun raised from seabed

Salvage experts have succeeded in raising the wreck of the Rising Sun from the seabed off the coast of Co Wexford.

The vessel was brought to the surface last night and is currently being transported to Rosslare for examination.

The lobster boat sank near the Saltee Islands in November, claiming the life of skipper Pat Colfer and his colleague Jimmy Myler.

A third man, local diver Billy O'Connor, also died during a search of the wreck shortly after the tragedy.

Mr Colfer's body has never been recovered and his family hope it may still be trapped inside the boat.
