Teen grabbed schoolgirl in 'vicious, unprovoked' attack

A 17-year-old girl, who attacked a schoolgirl, aged 14, by grabbing her neck and then dragging her across a street by her hair, has been given 160 hours community service in lieu of four months detention.

A 17-year-old girl, who attacked a schoolgirl, aged 14, by grabbing her neck and then dragging her across a street by her hair, has been given 160 hours community service in lieu of four months detention.

The defendant, a mother of one, pleaded guilty at the Dublin Children’s Court to assaulting the younger girl, at the Rathgar Road, Terenure, Dublin, on March 12 last year.
