Woman tied up during rural post office raid in Clare

A postmistress is recovering today after being tied up for five hours during a raid on her rural post office in Co Clare this morning.

The woman, who lives alone in a house attached to the Whitegate post office, was tied up and barricaded in her bathroom by at least three masked raiders who broke into the premises at around 3am.
