Gardaí investigate Clonmel stabbing

A man who was stabbed in Clonmel this morning has spent the afternoon recovering in hospital.

Gardaí said the man , in his late thirties, was attacked just before 10am on Angelsea Street in Clonmel.

He was taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Cashel, where his injuries were being described as 'not life threatening'.

A Garda investigation into the incident is underway.
