Youth hurt in Belfast shooting

A youth was shot in both legs in what police believe was a paramilitary-style attack in a loyalist area of east Belfast.

A youth was shot in both legs in what police believe was a paramilitary-style attack in a loyalist area of east Belfast.

The incident occurred along the Beersbridge Road.

The victim was confronted by five masked men who got out of a car.

They dragged him into an alleyway off Grove Street and shot him in both calves.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and police have appealed for information.
