The funeral of Ireland's first female High Court Judge took place in Dublin this afternoon.

The funeral of Ireland's first female High Court Judge took place in Dublin this afternoon.

Justice Mella Carroll died on Sunday at the age of 71, after battling a long-term illness.

Justice Carroll served in the high court for over twenty years, and was involved in many charities and organisations.

She will be buried tomorrow morning in Waterville in Co Kerry.
