Gardaí seize €100k of drugs

Gardaí tonight seized heroin and cannabis with a street value of €100,000 when they stopped a car in Balbriggan, Co Dublin.

Officers from the Balbriggan Crime Unit arrested a two people in their 20s in a planned operation in the Hampton Demesne area.

The 22-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were being held under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

Gardaí said pending forensic examination of the haul, the drugs had an estimated value of up to €100,000.
