Town councillors in Tralee are due to debate proposals this evening that could see pubs and nightclubs in the town having their opening hours reduced.

Town councillors in Tralee are due to debate proposals this evening that could see pubs and nightclubs in the town having their opening hours reduced.

The move has been proposed by Labour Party Councillor Miriam McGillycuddy as a means of tackling anti-social violence.

Ms McGillycuddy has admitted that it has little chance of being passed, but said it was important that the idea at least be discussed by local representatives.
