Gardaí name victim of fatal Dublin stabbing
The 21-year-old man who died after a stabbing incident at a Dublin Hotel in the early hours of the New Year has been named.
He was Martin McLoughlin, from Cherrywood Park in Clondalkin.
He died this morning despite undergoing emergency surgery at the Mater hospital after he was stabbed in the chest in a corridor of Jury's Croke Park Hotel.
Chief Superintendant Mick Feehan said this afternoon that a murder inquiry was underway and that gardaí were following a definite line of inquiry.
