Five units of the Fire Service from across Wexford have successfully tackled a major fire at a pub in the north of the county this morning.

Five units of the Fire Service from across Wexford have successfully tackled a major fire at a pub in the north of the county this morning.

The alarm was raised just after 9am when smoke was seen emerging from the Village Inn close to Bunclody.

The cause of the blaze is unknown, but the scene has been sealed off for technical examination and motorists are also being diverted away from the area.
