Marine Dept decides to raise wreck of Rising Sun

The Department of the Marine has decided to raise the wreck of the lobster boat that sank off the coast of Co Wexford last month, claiming the lives of two crew members.

The Rising Sun sank near the Saltee Islands in late November, but the body of skipper Pat Colfer has still not been recovered.

His relatives have been asking for the vessel to be raised from the seabed to check if the body is trapped inside.
