Minister calls for more information to be made public on 'Stormontgate'
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dermot Ahern, is urging the British government to put more information about 'Stormontgate' into the public domain.
Mr Ahern was speaking after a meeting this afternoon with the Northern Secretary, Peter Hain.
The minister said he understands that some information will never be made public because of security considerations.
He said many ordinary people felt confused and bemused about events but the important thing is to focus on the future and not be knocked off-course.
Earlier, Peter Hain claimed the affair was just another blip in the process but, after their meeting this morning, Gerry Adams said the incident was of far more importance than that.
