Prominent republican Denis Donaldson is facing a new life outside Ireland today after he admitted working as a British agent for the past 20 years.

In a dramatic twist, Mr Donaldson, Sinn Féin’s former head of administration at Stormont, was expelled from the party as he owned up to working for British intelligence and the Royal Ulster Constabulary/Police Service of Northern Ireland Special Branch.
