The DPP will not bring a criminal prosecution over a traffic accident in which a pensioner was knocked down by a garda patrol car, an inquest heard tonight.

Mary Seavers, 74, of Farmhill Park, Goatstown, Dublin died in Beaumont Hospital on June 15 last – three weeks after she was struck by a Garda patrol car in Clonskeagh.
