The Government has pledged an extra €5m in aid for the earthquake relief operation in Pakistan.

The Government has pledged an extra €5m in aid for the earthquake relief operation in Pakistan.

Minister for Overseas Aid Conor Lenihan is expected to announce details of the funding during his visit to the country later today.

It is understood that €2m will be dispersed immediately, while a further €3m will be made available in the New Year.
