Body found in Co Clare river

A body was recovered from a river in Co Clare this afternoon.

It was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination.

Local search and rescue teams pulled the body from the Bunratty River in the Crawford area shortly after midday.

Gardaí say they are not treating the discovery as suspicious.
