FG criticises Govt's failure to act on renewable energy

Fine Gael is accusing the government is putting industry at a disadvantage by failing to act on renewable energy.

The party's spokesman on Natural Resources Bernard Durkan said this afternoon that there is no reason why Irish electricity and gas prices should be higher than those in Europe.

Deputy Durkan claimed deregulation isn't working, and the Energy Regulator needs to pay more attention to renewable energy.
