The Irish Ferries saga took another twist this afternoon.

According to SIPTU, security guards boarded a vessel in Pembroke following alleged intimidation of another union's members by ship's officers seeking support.

It is understood the action delayed this afternoon's Isle of Inishmore sailing to Rosslare.

Meanwhile, the company said it had begun recruiting low-paid foreign workers who will ultimately take-over from Irish crews.
