Exhibition leaves astronomy fans starstruck

Astronomy fans are descending on Dublin today for the start of a major exhibition.

The Astro-Expo will feature displays from the European Space Agency, Astronomy Ireland, the UFO Society and others.

The highlight of the show will be the Mars Roverbot Challenge, which allows parents and children to programme robots on a simulated mission.

There will also be also lectures on ‘Black Holes – The Irish Connection’ and ‘Einstein and the Cosmos’.

Last year’s Astro-Expo attracted thousands of British and Irish visitors. The Astro-Expo is running over two days at the Hub in Dublin City University and admission is free, with a small charge for lectures.
