TUI demands significant increase in education funding

The Teachers Union of Ireland has threatened to mount a major nationwide campaign if the Government fails to adequately increase education funding in this year's Budget.

The Budget spending estimates due to be published this afternoon are expected to include an increase of around 8% in education funding.
