Police in the North have arrested three men in the north Antrim area as part of what they are describing as an operation targeting serious crime.

The nature of the crime being investigated has not been disclosed, but the area is a stronghold of loyalist paramilitaries involved in drug-dealing, extortion and other activities.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old woman and a teenage boy remain in custody this morning after being arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of Martin Conlon in Co Armagh.

Mr Conlon's body was found dumped on a road near Keady on November 7.

The 35-year-old, who had links to the Real IRA, had been shot dead.
