Cowen to unveil public spending plans for 2006

Minister for Finance Brian Cowen is due to outline the Government's public spending plans for 2006 today.

Reports this morning said the Book of Estimates would contain a 6% increase in current and capital spending, with health and education set to be the main beneficiaries.
